Setup

GFit ChatGPT Plugin is intended to be installed as a hosted MCP server in ChatGPT. No separate account, API key, or OAuth flow is required for normal usage.

1. Add the server

Use the hosted MCP server URL: https://gfit-chatgpt-mcp-app.keenmcp.workers.dev/mcp.

2. Connect in ChatGPT

Complete the standard ChatGPT MCP connection flow for a hosted HTTPS server.

3. Try it out

Ask ChatGPT to create a quick home workout plan and interact with the video widget.

What it does

GFit generates a customized fitness routine and renders an interactive widget displaying high-quality video tutorials, along with exercise tags and step-by-step instructions. Users can naturally navigate through their workout session.

Customized Workout Generation

Users can request general full-body routines or target specific muscle groups. The app instantly builds a customized plan.

Interactive Video Widgets

Users get an interactive widget displaying real exercise video tutorials right inside the chat window.

Seamless Session Tracking

GFit tracks the user's progress. Simply say "next exercise" or "skip this one" to update the widget seamlessly.

How to use it

You can request a workout simply by typing a natural language prompt. ChatGPT will automatically trigger the gfit_create_workout_plan tool and return a video widget.

Tool: gfit_create_workout_plan Creates an exact, equipment-free home workout plan from GFit's curated library of real exercise video tutorials.
Tool: gfit_show_exercise Displays one exact exercise of an existing GFit plan in the widget. Used to move through a plan the user already has.
Capabilities Read-only rendering of video exercises. Does not provide medical advice or persist user data externally.

Troubleshooting

Connection issues

  • Confirm the MCP server URL is exactly https://gfit-chatgpt-mcp-app.keenmcp.workers.dev/mcp.
  • Make sure the client supports hosted MCP servers over HTTPS.
  • If the server does not connect, retry from a clean session and verify the endpoint is reachable.

Rendering issues

  • Ask ChatGPT clearly to "create a home workout plan".
  • The widget requires ChatGPT to correctly render the UI extension. If the widget fails to load, ensure ChatGPT's MCP extension is enabled.
  • If the structure looks wrong, start a new chat session to reset the context.
